Presents a Service for
CHAG SHAVUOT
(Let the people stand and exalt YHWH our God)
LEADER: Make a joyful noise unto YHWH, all ye lands. Serve YHWH with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that YHWH he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
PEOPLE: We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
LEADER: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
PEOPLE: For YHWH is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
LEADER: O come, let us sing unto YHWH: let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
PEOPLE: For YHWH is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
LEADER: O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before YHWH our maker.
PEOPLE: For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, the sheep of his hand.
LEADER: Today if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
WOMEN: O sing unto YHWH a new song: sing unto YHWH, all the earth. Sing unto YHWH, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
MEN: Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
EVERYONE: For YHWH is great, and greatly to be praised:
MEN: He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but YHWH made the heavens.
WOMEN: Honor and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
EVERYONE: Give unto YHWH, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto YHWH glory and strength. Give unto YHWH the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. O worship YHWH in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
MEN: Say among the heathen that YHWH reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
WOMEN: Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before YHWH.
EVERYONE: For he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
LEADER: O sing unto YHWH a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. YHWH hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
PEOPLE: He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
LEADER: Make a joyful noise unto YHWH, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Sing unto YHWH with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
PEOPLE: With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before YHWH, the King. Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together before YHWH;
LEADER: For he cometh to judge the earth:
PEOPLE: With righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
WOMEN: YHWH reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubim; let the earth be moved.
MEN: YHWH is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people. Let them praise thy great and awesome name; for it is holy.
WOMEN: The King’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
EVERYONE: Exalt ye YHWH our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.
MEN: Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon YHWH, and he answered them.
WOMEN: He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: They kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them. Thou answeredst them, O YHWH our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their evil deeds.
EVERYONE: Exalt YHWH our God, and worship at his holy hill; for YHWH our God is holy.
(The people are seated)
LEADER: YHWH our God commanded that three times a year the men of Israel are to present themselves before YHWH with their tithes, offerings, and first fruits.
READER 1: Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year. Thou shalt keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread: thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month of the aviv; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty: And the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the Feast of Ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labors out of the field. 17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord YHWH. Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning. The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of YHWH thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk. (Exodus 23:14-19 KJV)
READER 2: Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before YHWH thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and in the Feast of Weeks, and in the Feast of Tabernacles: and they shall not appear before YHWH empty: Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of YHWH thy God which he hath given thee. (Deuteronomy 16:16-17 KJV)
LEADER: After the Passover had been slaughtered and the First Fruits wave offering of the barley harvest had been made, YHWH commanded the children of Israel to count seven Sabbaths and to hold another Feast unto him.
READER 3: And YHWH spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are in the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before YHWH, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. And ye shall offer that day, when ye wave the sheaf, a he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto YHWH. And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto YHWH for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto YHWH. Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto YHWH. And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto YHWH, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto YHWH. Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before YHWH, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to YHWH for the priest. And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be a holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am YHWH your God. (Leviticus 23:9-22 KJV)
READER 1: Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto YHWH, after your weeks be out, ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto YHWH; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year; And their meat offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto one bullock, two tenth deals unto one ram, a several tenth deal unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs; and one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you. Ye shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, (they shall be unto you without blemish) and their drink offerings. (Numbers 28:26-31 KJV)
(Two loaves of leavened bread are brought forward and elevated)
LEADER: Baruch ata YHWH Eloheynu melech ha-olam, ha-motzi lechem min ha-aretz. Amen.
PEOPLE: Blessed are you YHWH our God, Sovereign of the Universe, who brings forth bread from the earth. Amen.
LEADER: Our Rabbi, Yeshua the Messiah, has taught us:
READER 2: It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4 KJV)
THE PEOPLE: Sanctify us by Thy word, Thy word is truth!
LEADER: Our Rabbi also taught:
READER 3: Labor not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. (John 6:27 KJV)
READER 1: And Yeshua said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:35 KJV)
READER 2: I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: If any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. (John 6:48-51 KJV)
READER 3: This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever. (John 6:58 KJV)
PEOPLE: Give us this bread that we may eat and live.
LEADER: Baruch ata YHWH Eloheynu melech ha-olam, ha-motzi lechem min ha-shamiym. Amen.
PEOPLE: Blessed are you YHWH our God, Sovereign of the Universe, who brings forth bread from the heavens. Amen.
(SONG)
LEADER: YHWH brought the children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt in the month of the aviv, declaring the month of the exodus to be the beginning of months for the children of Israel.
READER 1: And YHWH spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. (Exodus 12:1-2 KJV)
READER 2: And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand YHWH brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten. This day came ye out in the month of the aviv. (Exodus 13:3-4 KJV)
LEADER: Counting seventh Sabbaths from the First Fruits wave offering made in the First Month means that the Feast of Shavuot or the Feast of Weeks falls in the Third Month of the year. According to the scriptures it was in the Third Month of the year that the children of Israel arrived at Mount Sinai and entered into the covenant with YHWH and received the Torah.
READER 3: In the Third Month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai. (Exodus 19:1 KJV)
LEADER: While still in Egypt the Sovereign One wooed the children of Israel with his love and promises.
READER 1: Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am YHWH, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments: And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am YHWH your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. And I will bring you in unto the land, which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am YHWH. (Exodus 6:6-8 KJV)
LEADER: In the wilderness of Sinai YHWH proposed to the children of Israel.
READER 2: Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. (Exodus 19:4-6 KJV)
LEADER: And the children of Israel responded;
PEOPLE: All that YHWH hath spoken we will do.
LEADER: And the children of Israel sanctified themselves and prepared themselves to enter into covenant with YHWH their God.
READER 3: And YHWH said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day YHWH will come down in the sight of all the people upon Mount Sinai. (Exodus 19:10-11 KJV)
READER 1: And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. And Mount Sinai was completely covered with smoke, because YHWH descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. And YHWH came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and YHWH called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. (Exodus 19:16-20 KJV)
(All the people stand and face the chuppah)
LEADER: And YHWH made a covenant with the children of Israel. And God spake all these words, saying
THE PEOPLE:
1) I am YHWH thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I YHWH thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
3) Thou shalt not take the name of YHWH thy God in vain; for YHWH will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
4) Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of YHWH thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days YHWH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day: wherefore YHWH blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
5) Honor thy father and thy mother; that thy days may be long upon the land which YHWH thy God giveth thee.
6) Thou shalt not kill.
7) Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8) Thou shalt not steal.
9) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor’s. (Exodus 20:1-17 KJV)
LEADER: YHWH then revealed the rest of the Torah to Moses who wrote it on a scroll. And Moses took the scroll of the covenant, and read it in the audience of the people; and the children of Israel declared;
PEOPLE: All that YHWH has said we will do and we will be obedient.
LEADER: And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which YHWH hath made with you concerning all these words.
PEOPLE: Hear, O Israel: YHWH is our God, YHWH is one: And thou shalt love YHWH thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
LEADER: YHWH gave the children of Israel the Sabbath as the token of the covenant.
READER 2: Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am YHWH that doth sanctify you. (Exodus 31:13 KJV)
READER 3: Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. (Exodus 31:16 KJV)
(The people are seated)
LEADER: While YHWH faithfully fulfilled all his promises to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants, but the children of Israel did not keep the covenant and were exiled from the land of promise.
READER 1: And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. (Leviticus 26:33 KJV)
READER 2: And YHWH shall scatter thee among all people, from one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. (Deuteronomy 28:64 KJV)
PEOPLE: We have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. We have done wickedly.
LEADER: We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against YHWH our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of YHWH our God.
PEOPLE: We acknowledge, O YHWH, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.
LEADER: And the children of Israel cried unto YHWH, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.
PEOPLE: We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
LEADER: And the children of Israel said unto YHWH, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.
PEOPLE: We have sinned, because we have forsaken YHWH, and have served Baalim and Ashtaroth: but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee.
LEADER: If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
PEOPLE: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
LEADER: But YHWH had declared:
READER 1: And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them;.for I am YHWH their God. But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am YHWH. (Leviticus 26:44-45 KJV)
READER 2: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV)
LEADER: The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
PEOPLE: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
(SONG)
LEADER: YHWH promised to make a new covenant with his people and to pour out his spirit upon the children of Israel that they should keep the covenant.
READER 3: Behold, the days come, saith YHWH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith YHWH: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YHWH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (Jeremiah 31:31-33 KJV)
READER 1: Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. (Ezekiel 36:25-28 KJV)
PEOPLE: Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
LEADER: YHWH promised that if his people repented and sought him with their whole heart he would gather them to himself and return Israel to the promise land.
READER 2: And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither YHWH thy God hath driven thee, And shalt return unto YHWH thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; Then YHWH thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither YHWH thy God hath scattered thee. (Deuteronomy 30:1-3 KJV)
READER 3: As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there they shall lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture they shall feed upon the mountains of Israel. I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord YHWH. I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment. (Ezekiel 34:12-16 KJV)
READER 2: I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. (Ezekiel 34:23 KJV)
LEADER: The Sovereign One, began this process of reconciliation through the prophets, but ultimately sent his Son, Yeshua our Messiah, to draw us back to the Father and to the Covenant.
READER 2: I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. (John 10:14-16 KJV)
READER 3: But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (Matthew 15:24 KJV)
PEOPLE: YHWH is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of YHWH forever. (Psalm 23:1-6 KJV)
LEADER: YHWH fulfilled this promise in the person of Yeshua of Nazareth whom he anointed with his spirit without measure.
READER: 3 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. (John 3:34 KJV)
READER 1: John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Spirit. (John 1:32-33 KJV)
LEADER: Our Rabbi, Yeshua the Messiah, promised that he would not leave his people comfortless but would send the Spirit upon them to comfort, teach and lead them.
READER 2: If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the to Father, and he shall give you another Comforter that he may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (John 14:15-17 KJV)
READER 3: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26 KJV)
READER 1: Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. (John 16:7 KJV)
LEADER: At the Feast of Weeks, following Yeshua’s death, resurrection and ascension, the disciples of our Rabbi, Yeshua the Messiah, in obedience to the Torah, were in Jerusalem for the Feast of Weeks, when the promise of the Spirit was fulfilled.
READER 2: And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Suddenly, there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. There were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together and were confounded, because every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? (Acts 2:1-8 KJV)
LEADER: Because of the life, ministry, death and resurrection of our Rabbi, Yeshua the Messiah, and the outpouring of his Spirit, we have been given the means by which to put our old rebellious, unfaithful, nature to death that we may become a new creation and enter once again into the covenant with YHWH.
READER 3: For the law was given by Moses, grace and truth came by Yeshua Messiah. (John 1:17 KJV)
READER 3: And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. (Luke 9:23 KJV)
PEOPLE: Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Yeshua Messiah were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Messiah was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
READER 1: Therefore if any man be in Messiah, he is a new creature: Old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)
LEADER: What the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
PEOPLE: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled, let us walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
LEADER: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
PEOPLE: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Messiah Yeshua, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
LEADER: Through the gift of the Spirit, writing Torah upon the hearts of believers, Yeshua Messiah seeks to restore Israel as a bride without spot and blemish.
READER 2: That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious assembly, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Ephesians 5:26-27 KJV)
PEOPLE: And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that thirsts come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
READER 3: Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread and your labor for that which satisfieth not? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. (Isaiah 55:1-3 KJV)
(Song)
LEADER: We are to love YHWH our God with all our heart, soul, mind, strength and resources. Let us affirm our faith and commitment by giving of ourselves as living sacrifices unto YHWH our God.
READER 1: Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering. (Exodus 25:2 KJV)
READER 2: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1-2 KJV)
LEADER: Be glad in YHWH, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
PEOPLE: YHWH is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:. Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
LEADER: I will praise thee, O YHWH, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
PEOPLE: Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
LEADER: Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
PEOPLE: I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I have learned thy righteous judgments.
LEADER: Teach me thy way, O YHWH; I will walk in thy truth: Unite my heart to fear thy name.
PEOPLE: With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
LEADER: I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
PEOPLE: Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
LEADER: Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage forever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
PEOPLE: I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes always, even unto the end.
LEADER: YHWH bless thee, and keep thee. YHWH make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious to thee. YHWH lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace.
PEOPLE: Amen
(All those desiring to affirm their faith, calling, and commitment to keeping the Torah and being YHWH’s covenant children may now sign the ketubah.)
It is suggested that a Chuppah (cannopy as in a Jewish wedding) and that a Ketubah (wedding contract) be printed with room at the bottom for people to sign it. The Ketubah should simply be affirming peoples faith.
Possible Ketubah Lanaguage:
As one who has been created, redeemed, delivered, and sustained, by YHWH the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, through the blood of Yeshua the Messiah, I hereby affirm my faith and commitment to YHWH, to the keeping of the Covenant, and to the calling that he has bestowed upon the children of Israel to be the vehicle by which The Holy One of Israel will manifest his presence and image in the world. I have seen how YHWH had redeemed, delivered, and sustained us, and in a spirit of love and gratitude I pledge my obedience to YHWH, and affirm my place as a member of the children of Israel.
Hear, O Israel, YHWH is our God, YHWH is One. Amen.

Just beautiful. May YHWH bless you all as you worship him together.
Shalom Haverim! I just got on your website and look at and found you are celebrate Shavuot on June 5. Can any one send me explanation how you are counting Omer. I greatly appreciate. Toda raba.
We celebrate Chag HaMatzot on the 15th day of the First Biblical month. We determine this month by the sighting of the first sliver of the new moon and aviv barley. Bichorim or First Fruits is the day after the weekly Sabbath after Passover, from that day we count seven Sabbaths and then the next day (again on the first day of the week) we celebrate Shavuot.
